Established in 2004 to create a new commercial business in the fledgling Australian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) industry, working to Australian regulation CASR 101, V-TOL has evolved into a vertically integrated Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) multifaceted business group.
V-TOL’s aim is to establish an Australian hi-tech strategic robotics sector that directly supports the Nation’s ‘core’ economic industries such as mining & energy, agriculture & fisheries, forestry & environment, construction & infrastructure, education, tourism & government services.
A strong Australian based sustainable UAS and robotics sector will significantly contribute to growing Australia’s hi-tech capability, it’s intellectual capital, tertiary education, R&D and employment opportunities, community resilience & security, and provide the technology based economic ‘enablers’ to potentially deliver double digit % productivity gains to national GDP.
National GDP gains, critical to Australia’s economic future, will result from increased productivity per unit of input and higher margins from increased quality of output for our export industries. We also expect Australian robotic export services to generate greater sovereign wealth for our immediate regional neighbours.
In addition to these key economic benefits, will be the ability for industry to develop new commercial strategies that will reduce our impact on the global environment, reduce waste and increase the security and efficient use of our finite natural resources saving billions of dollar per annum in direct and indirect costs while extending the future value of our ‘core’ economic sectors.
