Private Pilot
A private pilot certificate allows you to carry passenger. As a private pilot you can fly for fun or use your skills for your business.
A private pilot certificate is the first step to becoming a commercial pilot.
A private pilot certificate requires 35 hrs. of flight training
A private pilot add-on certificate requires 20 hrs. of flight training
Commercial Pilot
A commercial pilot certificate allows you to fly for hire.
A commercial pilot certificate requires at least 150 hrs. total time at least 50 hrs. must be in a helicopter – Time built during private pilot training counts toward the 150 hr. requirement
A commercial pilot add-on certificate requires 30 hrs. of training
Flight Instructor
As a flight instructor you have the privilege of passing on your knowledge and skills to others.
The requirements for a helicopter flight instructor certificate are that you have a commercial helicopter certificate and have at least 15 hrs. in a helicopter.
