Operational benefits
ScoopFone 4G extends the range of ultra-portable solutions for AoIP transmission over mobile 3G and 4G networks. This mode adds to the mobile voice and HD Voice capability already available on the ScoopFone range.
The coding algorithms available for AoIP are OPUS, G722 and G711.
ScoopFone 4G remains as easy to use as possible. To simplify IP connections, a SIP account is readily available and active; the coding mode is seleced automatically depending on the device being called, with a priority on OPUS. A network quality meter guides the user for adjusting the bit rate if needed.
"Direct RTP" mode allows you to setup an audio call over an IP network without using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Please download this application note to see how to operate the codecs using the "Direct RTP" mode.
The interface is intuitive, making ScoopFone 4G a simple-to-use device with optimal transmission performance.
The ScoopFone 4G is also available in a rackmount version, ScoopFone 4G-R.
Supported mobile networks
ScoopFone 4G includes a radio module certified for the European Community and Australia.
It covers many other countries, but it is recommended to check in each case whether the integrated radio module supports at least one of the bands used locally (see table hereafter), and if the mobile operator grants the access to the module.
A specific version for North America, the ScoopFone US, allows to benefit fro HD Voice in the USA, via the T-Mobile network.
A specific version for Japan is also available (consult our distributor).
