OVERVIEW
AAG provides a robust pilot assessment, selecion and recruitment process for airlines and individuals. With more and more spotlight being shone on incidents occurring in the cockpit, we are seeing selection processes for airlines scrutinized across the globe.
While using a third party to conduct the pilot selection process is still seen by some as a high cost exercise, the growing number of accidents and incidents involving pilots highlights the need for a rigorous and unbiased procedure.
By choosing AAG as a partner to deliver the selection process, the airline is able to benefit fro the following:
Improved avoidance of future risk
Pilot’s character matches airline culture
Pilots requiring less remedial training
Lower training costs
Lower overall costs
Reduced turnover of pilots
AAG have adopted the ADAPT software by Symbiotics Performance Solutions. ADAPT is a tool used widely by international airlines and pilot training academies that is designed specifically to acquire the best personnel. ADAPT will predict the trainability of the pilot, their operational effectiveness and how they would fit into an airline.
Ab Initio Pilot Selection
Becoming a pilot is not easy; it requires dedication and hard work as well as the required knowledge level and aptitude. As part of its selection process, AAG use the ADAPT software to assess and measure an individual’s overall ability to learn and succeed in training.
The areas covered in the Ab Initio Pilot Assessment are:
Personality Questionnaire
Math
English
Physics
FAST (Future Aptitude Screening Tool)
Cognitive Tests
Coordination Assessment
Fixed Wing Computer based Assessment
Upon completing the assessment, cadets will be required to undergo an interview with a panel of aviation experts. For more information on AAG’s airline pilot selection, please contact us.
