FEATURING THE H.265 VIDEO COMPRESSION STANDARD, the S3L and S3Lm SoCs enable smart security IP cameras that use very little network bandwidth to stream and store high quality video. The S3L targets professional HD IP cameras up to 5M, and the S3Lm family is designed for small form factor consumer H.265 cloud cameras up to 3M. Advanced image processing is supported including High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing, motion compensated 3D noise reduction, 180 degree fisheye lens correction, and on-board analytics.
The advanced H.265 (HEVC) encoder in S3L and S3Lm provides a 2X compression improvement over H.264, enabling significant cost savings in storage and network infrastructure. Furthermore, S3L and S3Lm can provide simultaneous streaming of H.264 and H.265 for environments wher not all clients yet support the H.265 standard.
A flexible ARM® Cortex™-A9 CPU with up to 1 GHz performance allows the implementation of cloud services and intelligent video analytics such as intrusion detection, or audio analytics such as the detection of breaking glass.
