Gaining a CFII certificate is a great way to build time and valuable experience while being compensated. CFII’s not only have all the privileges as the normal CFI, they can also give training toward Instrument Ratings.
Eligibility
Be at least 18 years old
Able to read, speak, and write English
Pass Knowledge Test
Pass Practical Flight Test
At least a third class Medical is required
Privileges and Limitations
Able to give training to student, private, and commercial pilots for primary licenses as well as the Instrument Rating.
Responsible for giving appropriate endorsements and keeping records
Cannot give training toward a multi-engine rating.
Must renew the CFII certificate every 2 years.
