OPTIONS AND PAYLOADS
INTEGRATION MADE EASY
The HEF 30 has been designed to be a flexible, multi-sensor platform. This allows customers to perfectly adapt the system to their mission requirements without complicated and expensive custom development projects. A wide variety of options are available to further expand the functionality of the HEF 30 and the list is still growing.
There are many ways to expand the capabilities of the HEF 30 system. Operating multiple sensors at once, increasing operational range, improving flexibility and even integrating into Air Traffic Control environments, the HEF 30 can do it all. The payload bay of the HEF 30 is located underneath the nose, offering an unrivaled amount of clear space without obstructions, to mount large or odd-sized payloads. The built-in converters and IP based data-link system allow the live transmission of many different types of payload data.
TRACKING ANTENNA
The true potential of the HEF 30 can be unlocked when vastly increasing its operational range. High Eye designed a relatively simple to use tracking antenna system, based on off-the-shelf technology. The heart of the tracking antenna is a multifunctional Pan-Tilt Unit made by Flir®. It is directly controlled by the Ground Control Station, using live autopilot data. It can also be expanded by a separate IMU, allowing the tracking antenna to be used on moving platforms, making it ideal for maritime and naval applications. The range of the system when using this antenna depends on the frequency, bandwidth and amount of data an operator would like to send. In general, the range is increased beyond 50 km from the Ground Control Station.
