Track & Trace, or tracking and tracing, concerns a process of determining the current and past locations (and other information) of a unique item or property. based on a unique identification by means of e.g. label, print or RFID chip, products, components and resources can be traced during and after production and assembly. This allows machinery to act according to a set protocol, but afterwards it also allows to determine wher problems arose and what might have been the cause.
