V/O Aviaexport was founded in 1961. For more than 46 years it has been working on the world market as a leading exporter of Soviet/Russian transport and passenger aircraft and aerospace equipment. Since then V/O Aviaexport was involved in the projects on delivery of more than 7000 airplanes and helicopters, dozens of thousands of aero engines, aggregates, aerodrome and other related equipment, spare parts to more than 60 countries of the world, as well as providing maintenance, repair and overhaul of the delivered aircraft, training of Customer’s flight and on-ground personnel.

In 1993 V/O Aviaexport  became a public limited company.  In 2006 by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation the share that used to be a state property was handed to the authorized stock capital of the United Aircraft Building Corporation.

Main activities of V/O Aviaexport, PLC

1. Projects related to the delivery of aircraft and aerospace equipment:

- export/import of new and used transport and passenger airplanes and helicopters, spare parts, other aerospace equipment, instruments, gas-turbine power generators based on aero engines;

- assistance in selling/purchasing licenses, technologies, know-how;

- customs' clearance;

- consultancy and marketing services;

- assistance in the execution of financial transactions in the joint projects.

2. After-sale servicing:

- arrangement of maintenance, repair and overhaul of the exported aircraft,

- setting up of overhaul facilities

- delivery of OEM spare parts, aggregates, equipment

- training of Customer’s flight and ground personnel.

Aviaexport’s partners are enterprises of radio-electronic, metallurgical, chemical and other industries in Russia and CIS countries. V/O Aviaexport has gained huge experience in working with Russian and foreign banks.

V/O Aviaexport has managed to create a developed infrastructure in a number of countries. It has its offices abroad and strong business ties with the partners in dozens countries of the world.

Company structure and human resources

One of V/O Aviaexport’s  principles is to be able to respond flexibly to the modern trends of aerospace market. The company structure is made of divisions specialized in their own type of activity – delivery of aircraft,  spare parts, arrangement of expositions, etc.

All management and experts have specialized higher education in aviation, foreign trade or finance, fluently speak foreign languages and have valued experience of practical work.

Recent projects

Among export projects of recent years arranged by V/O Aviaexport, PLC in cooperation with Tupolev, Aviastar-SP, Kazan Helicopter Plant, V/O Promexport,  KnAAPO, RSK MiG are the contracts for delivery of Russian aircraft to the USA, India, Egypt, Laos, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Under this contracts batches of Il-103 light aircraft, Be-103 amphibian aircraft, Mi-172 helicopters and big batches of Mi-17 helicopters were supplied.

V/O Aviaexport participated in the first delivery of new-generation airliners Tu-204-120. Five of them are under operation in Egypt and five more are being built for a Chinese Customer.

Besides within the latest period V/O Aviaexport has signed numerous contracts for delivery of Russian-made aviation equipment and product support.
