Ever thought of making the sky your office?
If it is your dream to fly and get compensated for it, the Commercial Pilot license is what you need. This is the next step to becoming an airline or commuter pilot, corporate pilot, crop duster pilot and as a flight instructor. And if you are a private pilot who would like to enhance your flying skills to another level, the commercial pilot license will advance you there.
The FAA requires a minimum of 250 hours of total flight time and at least 18 years old with a private pilot license as a prerequisite. Like the private and instrument rating, you will need to pass the FAA Knowledge written test and the Commercial Practical Test. You must have at least a second class medical certificate to exercise the privileges of a commercial pilot.
The training will be tailored according to your flight time as a private pilot to meet the requirements of the Practical Test and the minimum aeronautical experience. The training will focus on precision, orientation, planning, coordination, and smoothness of control inputs. Training will consist of ground lessons (preflight and post flight briefings) and in-flight instructions. You will be given topics to study in advance to prepare for the lesson. A syllabus is used to ensure a complete and steady progress in the training.
