Bonehead Composites' Aircraft Throttle Quadrant offers a carbon fiber quadrant as well as a center tunnel to firewall option. Both components are vacuum molded using epoxy resin and autoclave cured. The quadrant fits a two lever throttle/mixture system and, when installed, is positioned roughly between the fuel selector and instrument panel edge. This location really helps utilize the minimal amount of space while keeping the throttle within reach.
The center tunnel to firewall cover replaces the standard fuel pump cover, gives a finished look and flow to the throttle quadrant, and helps distribute cabin heat as well.
Both the throttle quadrant and center tunnel require some fitting to install. Fitting will require all the normal plane building steps. In the hopes of reducing the installation time, both components are shipped filled and finished in matte clear. We suggest covering both parts with masking tape to protect the surface, which also allows cut lines and drill holes to be clearly planned out.
