British International Industries Ltd (BII) started life back in 1923 located in northern England as a specialist manufacture of plastics. The company traded successfully for nearly 50 years before trading ceased. In 1976, Christopher Cradock purchased the dormant company as the corporate name for his growing Export Trading Business. Originally BII traded in generating sets for power supply, but the company quickly won a contract to provide standby power for an overseas Military Airport. From this point BII rapidly transformed their business model to focus on the supply of Military Aircraft Spares, supporting legacy NATO aircraft. BII continued to grow concentrating on supporting the Hawker Hunter, Canberra, Jaguar, Harrier, Hawk and C130. In recent years, BII has continued to support their long-standing military customers, but has expanded its inventory and product lines to supply the Commercial sector for Airlines, MRO and Leasing Companies. Forty years on and Christopher Cradock remains chairman and active within the business. Son, Francis Cradock, whose role as Sales Director, supports him on a day-to-day basis, along with a dedicated team of industry professionals, with a wealth of technical experience. Today BII operates from a purpose built facility in Partridge Green, West Sussex. BII’s facility is conveniently located close to both London Gatwick and London Heathrow international airports, expediting response time for all urgently required spares. BII stocks a wide variety of aircraft rotables and consumables supporting, Airbus (A320, A330, A340), Boeing (737NG & Classic, 747,757, 767, 777) and British Aerospace RJ.
