about Broens
During the first three years Broens established a large enough customer base to rent a factory at Lurnea. The company continued to grow and by 1986 occupied three factory units, providing toolmaking and general engineering. It was during this recession period when the business experienced a continuous dramatic growth and it became essential for Carlos to plan ahead for the company's inevitable expansion in size.
Land was purchased in August 1986 to build a new factory in York Road Ingleburn. However due to the company's dramatic growth rate it wasn't long before the company again required a much larger facility. In 1995 another building almost doubling in floor space to 6,039m2 was built at Williamson Road, Ingleburn. Along with this extra floor space, this new facility housed the latest in equipment allowing Broens to continue meeting the industries high demands. This new location also provided enough surrounding land to accommodate for the planned expansion in 2002, when the plant doubled in size with a new assembly bay area.
In 2003 Broens Industries strategically acquired the assets of Kirby Engineering. The combined resources and know how of Kirby and Broens created an outstanding capability in machine technology and process Automation.
By 2007 Broens had strategically acquired two businesses in South Australia - Static Engineering and Calbic Engineering. Both facilities cleverly situated side by side in Elizabeth South formed the new sister company to Broens Industries known as "Broens SA". Broens SA provided the company an expansion in highly skilled staff, technical expertise and production facilities. With these combined capabilities Broens was now in the ultimate position to deliver to a broader market, offering both local and overseas customer's quality accredited, highly complex and technologically advanced engineering products and services.
Therefore from its humble beginning, Broens has become a major global player with offices of sales and services in the US, China and Europe. Our ongoing commitment to quality and innovation in workmanship and business systems, is a major factor in the consistent growth of Broens.
As a proud privately owned engineering company, servicing Australia's Defence, Mining, Infrastructure and Energy sectors, we incorporate a portfolio which includes two world class advanced manufacturing facilities in New South Wales and South Australia.
