California Power Systems

California Power Systems was founded in 1981 by Mike Stratman and has been the western U.S. regional Rotax Service Center for many years, offering Rotax engines, parts, and other Ultralight and LightSport products to aviators around the world. We acquired CPS in November 2011 and moved the company from San Leandro, CA to Corona, CA wher CPS operates in a 62,000 sq. ft. facility. CPS also maintains a maintenance shop and a Rotax engine training facility nearby at Chino (CNO) Airport. Our family has been in the aircraft parts business for nearly 60 years, and we are pleased to offer this new website. We look forward to serving you soon!

CPS has been your West Coast Rotax Service Center since 1984. We have the specialty tools, factory training, and knowledge to handle two cycle or Rotax 912-914 engine repair or rebuild. From a simple oil change to a major overhaul, CPS has the mechanics and expertise to handle any Rotax issue including Special Light Sport Aircraft. Our Southern California facility allows any service or warranty issue to be addressed right on the aircraft. Our engine overhaul shop is equipped with all the specialty tools necessary to do certified overhaul of any Rotax UL engine including case splitting and crankshaft service.

Mechanic Training:

If you are an experienced mechanic and want to get rated for Rotax engines, CPS offers certified training for two cycle, Rotax 912 Service, Maintenance, and Heavy Maintenance Courses. These courses are factory approved and designed to give you hands on training on actual Rotax equipped aircraft and bench engines. These segment classes allow you to be LSA qualified to whatever level you wish. This is a great business opportunity to get a 50 mile protected service area at your location in the western US.
