Introduction
The beginning of Aeronautics
History In 1961, Catherineau makes its first cabin interior furniture for the Falcon.
Alain, the actual president, grows the business by expanding this completion activity for the French aircraft manufacturer and its european completion center. He focuses the aeronautics business on lightweight, high quality furniture.

2000’s decade
The 2000’s decade is marked by substantial change for Catherineau. The company leaves it historic Bacalan location, moving to a new environmentally friendly 50,000 sq. ft. factory at the Bordeaux-Aéroparc in Saint Médard en Jalles, complete with updated equipment. It is in this decade that the 8th generation takes up the baton with the arrival of Anne Sophie in 2006, the current CEO, and of Marie, responsible for R&D, in 2013. Both are daughters of Alain, and equally motivated to succeed and continue the Catherineau adventure.

Catherineau’s DNA
Pierre, Pierre, Jean, Jean-Achille, Pierre Georges, Jean, Alain; a lineage of leaders, all members of the Catherineau family, and all motivated by the same desire to ensure the development and longevity of their family business.
From 1750 to today, from schooners and lighters to luxury furniture, wood has remained Catherineau’s DNA. Just as manufacturing techniques have experienced technological change, so has the use of wood; the combination of fine woods and composite materials now enables us to deliver products to our customers with guaranteed aesthetic, safety and reliability characteristics.
