The MEP (Land) Class Rating can be added to an ICAO PPL or CPL following the approved course of training. Prior to commencing the course, a PPL holder must have 70 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
The MEP course consists of a minimum of 6 hours of flight training covering: aircraft differences, symmetric operations, emergency and asymmetric operations. We operate a Beech 76 Duchess on our MEP course, alternative types may be available on request at additional cost. Seven hours of ground training are also required, plus a multiple choice theory exam which is provided during the course. We have a 100% first series pass rate for the MEP course.
A Skill Test must also be passed following course completion, and this is provided in house by one of our resident Class Rating Examiners at our UK base airfield at Tatenhill.
We can conduct a Multi Engine Piston Rating training course on a full or part time basis to suit your individual needs. For current prices, please Click Here.
