Aircraft Checkout and Rental Rates

Anyone may rent aircraft from Cirrus Aviation so long as they provide a copy of their pilot’s license, current medical, and drivers license. A pilot must also successfully complete a one hour checkout with an instructor. We also require renter’s insurance when renting any glass panel aircraft. You can click on the AVEMCO logo at the bottom of the page* to get and quick and easy quote.

Below are additional check-out requirements for each type aircraft:

Cessna 162

1 hour checkout flight with instructor

Up to 1 hour ground

Cessna 172 SP

1 hour checkout with instructor

Cessna 172 SP G1000

Prior G1000 experience will require 1 hour checkout with an instructor

No prior G1000 experience will require about 3 hours with an instructor to learn the computer system

We offer a G1000 CD course for around the cost of 1 hour of dual in the aircraft*

*havin this course allows students to review G1000 systems on their own time

Warrior PA128

1 hour checkout with an instructor

Can be granted when checked out in the Arrow lll Turbo or Seneca; turbo with previous experience shown in a Warrior

Arrow III Turbo

Prior Turbo Arrow experience will require 1 hour checkout with an instructor

No prior Arrow experience will require 3 to 5 hours with an instructor to learn power settings, use of retractable gear, and aircraft performance

Requirements:

– 5 Hours Time In Type (Cherokee)

– 3 Hours of Arrow III

– 100 Hours Total Time

– Complex Sign-off

– Private Pilot Certificate

Seneca II Turbo

Minimum 5 hours with an instructor learning systems and emergency procedures

Requirements:

– 25 Hours Time in Type

– 500 Hours Total Time

– Private Pilot Certificate

– Multi-Engine Rating

– Instrument Rating
