Cub Air Flight was founded in 2006, by Steve and Sharon Krog. Cub Air Flight school uses vintage Piper J3 Cub aircraft to instruct in, following a philosophy that “old school is still cool.” Cub Air Flight believes that these fine classic airplanes make better pilots by requiring more attention and flying skill than newer airplanes. We at Cub Air Flight hold that flying a vintage airplane is as much an art as it is a science.
The Piper J3 Cub is revered among aviators as a truly classic and iconic airplane. It has served as a trainer to more pilots than almost any airplane, earning a reputation as easy to fly but yet challenging enough to force students to continually better themselves. Cub Air uses two J3 Cubs, restored and maintained with the same attention to detail as a lovingly restored classic car. Cub Air also uses a Piper Cherokee for training requiring an aircraft with more advanced instruments.
