Central Wisconsin Aviation, INC. Operates a Cessna Skyhawk for instruction and rental. We have an experienced full time instructor to help reach your goals. The minimum number of hours required for a private pilots license is 40 hours. An estimate for the overall cost to obtain the private pilot licence is $6,000.00 - $6,500.00 dollars. Financing and discounted block rates are available. A formal ground school is not required although we will have one available once a year.

The Central Wisconsin Airport makes for an excellent training environment with the control tower. An introductory flight is a great way to give flying the airplane a try for only $49.00 dollars.

Obtaining a private pilots certificate allows you to fly an airplane and carry passengers and baggage. Although operating expenses may be equally shared with your passengers, you may not fly for "compensation or hire". The certificate is sent to you by the FAA upon satisfactory completion of your training program, and a practical test.

Even if you have a physical handicap, medical certificates can be issued in many cases. Operation limitations may be imposed depending upon the nature of the disability. A student pilot certificate is required before you can solo.
