about 3deep Aerial
3deep Aerial is part of 3deep Media Ltd.
Formed in 2011, 3deep Media is well established in the marine, heritage and tourism sectors for our work visualising and mapping things underneath the sea. Since we started we have expanded beyond 3D modelling of shipwrecks to offer a range of other services to assist organisations both big and small.
3deep Aerial is our latest venture and is focused around aerial technologies. Using the latest un-manned aerial systems (drones) we can provide aerial photography, aerial videos, 3D aerial surveys / tours and aerial orthographic mapping.
Combined with our experience with website development, mobile apps and marketing, it makes us the ideal choice for your design service needs.
Background of 3deep
Although we have expanded to have expertise in a range of different services, 3deep was originally set up on the single idea of visualising shipwrecks in a whole new way.
The idea first came to us when diving a wreck off the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, UK. The boat skipper couldn't really explain the layout of the dive site, and so we didn't manage to see many of the key features of the wreck. It was at that moment we thought – there must be a better way?
Founder Mike Postons experimented with the concept of creating digital 3D models of shipwrecks as part of his Graphic Design degree at Falmouth University. But it wasn't until he began working as a web designer for the diving manufacturer Fourth Element that the concept was developed further into what we now call our '3D shipwreck tours'. Soon after, 3deep Media was formed as a partnership with Jim Standing and Paul Strike (the directors of Fourth Element), and we haven't looked back.
Since these humble beginnings, 3deep has expanded to the point wher we now provide a variety of other services to assist businesses and other organisations in not just the marine, but also the archaeological, historical and tourism sectors.
