Coast Flight Training’s Private Pilot Training Program offers the most experienced flight instructors dedicated to crafting the best pilots. All Coast instructors are specialized in Cirrus Aircraft training to instill the confidence and skills necessary for you to pilot an advanced aircraft. Your training will take you to new destinations, and our program will guide you through the process to assure your course completion.

The number of airports and airspaces within reach is extensive throughout Southern California. With a Private Pilot Certificate you are cleared to fly a US-registered aircraft anywher in the world, day or night, weather conditions permitting. Our Scenario-based Training helps accomplish this by designing your training around the actual flight patterns airline employers use. You will travel to different locations and experience different airspaces to become a well-rounded pilot capable of becoming a successful airline pilot.

The Private Pilot Training consists of the following FAA requirements:

Flight Time: 40 hrs

Pass FAA Written

Cross-Country Time: 5 hrs

Solo/PIC Time: 10 hrs

When you complete your Private Pilot Training at Coast Flight Training, you will be confident in your abilities and ready to advance to your next rating program. A Private Pilot Certificate allows you to fly in Visual Flight Rule (VFR) conditions, which is the absence of clouds and other meteorological disturbances. In order to fly an aircraft in adverse weather conditions you must have your Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating to be Pilot in Command during a non-VFR flight.
