The DP-5X Wasp is a small, powerful, autonomous VTOL UAV. It carries payloads of up to 100 lbs for 4.8 hours. The Wasp is designed for precision control, stable hover, and nap-of-earth flight in complex environments such as jungle, forest, rugged mountains, and urban settings.The Wasp weighs 240 lbs, and can be deployed by two people. It is designed for user-friendly waypoint navigation and simple, one-person operation. As a fully autonomous VTOL UAV, the Wasp can self-deploy and self-recover from unprepared sites — no runway or recovery equipment required.Operators can take advantage of multiple hard points (fore, aft, sides, and belly) on the Wasp to carry different kinds of payloads. The Wasp is modular and can fit into the bed of a humvee or 1-1/4-ton trailer. It also has a unique, variable center of gravity via an adjustable internal rail.
