Flying Targets system is meant for shooting of aerial targets in both civil and military practice, also these targets can be used for aerial reconnosence in areas, which are difficult to reach with or without equipment. We offer a full service, from manufacturing the planes and maintenance as well as the option of flying the targets for you in convenient and preplanned schedule.
Flying Targets are radio-controlled small planes which are piloted by one man. Pilot is usually together with a maintenance mechanic who helps start up the planes. The target is able to fly for 30 minutes per one refueling session, duration may vary based on flying conditions. If more than one plane is needed in the air at the same time, then an increased number of pilots needs to be used, as one pilot controls only one plane in the air at the same time.
The targets come packed in a mobile trailer together with everything else necessary for the flight. One set includes four planes together with one replacement body and wing.
If the plane has been hit and does not follow the pilots flying controls anymore, the pilot can use a parachute to bring the plane safely down, every plane comes equipped with such a parachute.
Generally the damages from hits are minor, usually hitting non-vital parts of the plane, there have been cases wher a plane has been hit six times and still has stayed in the air, until the seventh brought it down.
