The multi-engine rating can be added on to a private or commercial certificate. The multi-engine rating certifies the pilot to operate twin-engine aircraft. Whether your goal is to fly professionally or recreational, the multi-engine rating is the next step to improving your piloting skills.
Requirements
- No FAA regulated flight time is required, but you must have at least a private pilot certificate. Most flight school and insurance companies have a minimum flight time for the multi-engine rating, usually somewher between 5 to 10 hours of dual instruction.
