Overview:
once you know how to fly in good weather (VFR), take the next step to fly more confidently and fly safer in hazy, cloudy and not-so-perfect weather days. No matter what kind of schedule you have as a student, adult, executive, or parent, we can customize your training to what fits your needs. EFA believes the most efficient schedule for the Instrument rating or other advanced rating would be two ½ days, two times per week to become proficient. However you can take more or less time each week to suit your needs.
You will fly in our state-of-the art Cirrus or Cessna aircraft, taking full advantage of the available avionics and multi-function displays. To increase your level of confidence, some of these aircraft come equipped with traffic avoidance systems and datalink ‘real-time’ weather.
In our Fast Track course, our FAA-approved syllabus trains you like the pros do. The 10 “full units/days” of training at EFA concentrate information, eliminate interruptions and increase retention from lesson to lesson. You work 1-on-1 with your dedicated CFII, fly EFA’s IFR-rated aircraft, Red Bird Simulator and use the King Schools Computer based Instruction kit to complete knowledge components on your home or office computer. On average, your budget for your Instrument rating should be approximately the same as what you spent for your Private Pilot’s Certificate.
The basic requirements to obtain your rating are:
35 Hours Dual Flight Time
10 Hours Dual Simulator Time
10 Hours Ground Instruction
Periodic stage checks with senior staff for additional support and guidance.
