General Aviation & Pilot Training Programs

We are your trusted source for advanced training in general aviation — whether you’re a Florida native living in Tampa, Orlando, or Miami, or you’re a Canadian or European wishing to enjoy the benefits of traveling to Florida for flight school.  First Landings Aviation is opening up your horizons with our array of certification programs for those with a passion for flight or looking for a successful career in aviation.

Private Pilot

First Landings Aviation offers Private Pilot flight training in our Light Sport and Standard category aircraft. A Private Pilot license allows you to fly larger aircraft with higher load capacities and faster speeds, and also allows pilots to fly with less stringent visibility minimums and at night. If you’re ready to spend 45-55 hours in our exciting training program, then take action to learn about “Becoming a Private Pilot.”

Accelerated Programs

Are you ready now to get a Pilot License? Perhaps you don’t want to wait long, or maybe you are from another country or state wher weather, flight costs, and availability make it difficult and expensive to get your license in a timely manner.  If this sounds like your situation, then our all-inclusive immersion training, accelerated pilot program is for you. The military has been using immersion training for years with great success. Come to sunny Florida wher the weather is almost always flyable.

Tailored Programs

At First Landings, you’re not a number, and we do our best to make sure every student’s training program is individually customized to meet their needs.  Whether you’d like intensive flight training or flexible scheduling and personalized instruction – First Landings can ensure you get first-class attention.

Private Pilot Training Time and Cost

Becoming a private pilot offers whole new possibilities for your flying career. Demand for pilots and First Landings graduates is soaring. Our talented instructors are aviation experts – we enjoy teaching and our instructors have thousands of hours of instruction experienced.

It’s important to note, our instructors have experience in almost all weather conditions, and we encourage students to gain that experience with us before attempting it on their own voluntarily or involuntarily. You can also trust us to teach and double check what you’re doing. Our aircraft are equipped with both standard instrumentation as well as “glass cockpit” instrumentation that enhance situational awareness. We encourage students to share time in the aircraft while building time to both practice Crew Resource Management and to keep their costs to a minimum.

Expect to spend between $6500 and $7500 to earn a Private Pilot Certificate.
