Product Description
Our FE 1880C kit is built off the brand new 2013 Sky Walker platform with the improved carbon fiber tail section and 1880mm wings. This platform has already proven to be a major improvement over the older design and incorporates a wider fuselage for your batteries and equipment as well as a nice spring loaded post to secure the front canopy. The new carbon tail is much more durable and allows all tail wires to be routed internally for safety and organization.
The “C” in our line up stands for Cruise and that’s what this plane does. It floats very nicely in the air due to it’s wing design and produces incredible still images and video quality from your camera or recording device. This plane is slower and more forgiving than the Sky Hunter and lighter and more powerful then a Finwing Penguin.
The FE 1880C can comfortably cruise for over an hour at 30 knots and has plenty of thrust for any spirited maneuvers. Unlike many other pusher platforms, this plane can use a variety of propellers from 9×6 to 12×8 to achieve faster or more efficient flights. It breaks down a bit easier than the Sky Hunter due to the 1-piece tail section and can be placed in a nice sized carrying bag for transit and storage.
All kits includes the Ruby Autopilot for safe controlled flights with autonomous features such as auto-launching, auto-landings, altitude and speed hold with electronic stability-Aided mode, Loiter mode, Waypoint navigation, and the must have Return to Home mode. The OSD overlay on the FPV kits gives you extensive flight data and telemetry during your flight and can be turned off using a separate tx switch.
