Southern Maine Aviation was founded in 2005 and has quickly grown to be one of the premier flight training and maintenance facilities in New England. The reason is simple - we love what we do.
We believe in service, safety, and quality, and we care about our customers. When you spend time here, you'll quickly realize we are more family than staff, and we have a lot to offer. Heated and unheated hangars of all sizes, including hangars for commercial aviation activities. Aircraft maintenance from ultralights to turbines. Line service to help you with all your fuel and service needs. Flight instruction ranging from primary to advanced training.
Plus we try to give back to the community, supporting local organizations and working with local schools. We also partner with the FAA Safety Team to offer regular safety seminars and events wher you can learn or just enjoy time with fellow flying enthusiasts. During the summer, the staff also takes the time to create a great patio garden filled with herbs, vegetables, and flowers. During the season you might walk away with some zucchini or tomatoes!
We are open from 7am to 5pm from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and 7am to 7pm in the summer. There is a coded gate for visitors arriving outside of business hours, or after-hours service available by prior arrangement.
