In 2005 it was decided to separate the day to day maintenance function away from the ownership of the facilities, plant and aircraft. This was done by the formation of Helicare Maintenance Ltd by Murray Wootton. During the past years systems were gradually developed and with the maintenance of larger aircraft Helicare Maintenance formalised these systems and were accredited with a Civil Aviation Maintenance approval certificate under Part 145 MO74212 in 2009. More recently the company has been approved by the Robinson Helicopter Company as a Service Centre for the Robinson R22, R44 & R66 Helicopters.
Although the company’s primary focus is the maintenance of rotary wing it also maintains various fixed wing aircraft from single aerobatic machines through to multi engine turbine corporate aircraft.
