General requirements include:
Must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate
Must hold at least a third-class medical certificate
Must have logged 50 hours PIC cross-country at completion of course
Pass a FAA pilot knowledge test, consisting of multiple choice questions, with a score of 70% or better
Training requirements include:
A MINIMUM of 40 flight hours, including the following:
15 hours dual instrument instruction (22.5 hours from syllabus)
5 hours in the aircraft category
Successfully complete a flight test given by an FAA examiner
