The French-built SPAD XIII was the aircraft of choice of the U.S. Air Service's 94th Aero Squadron - better known as the Hat in the Ring Gang - whose insignia appears on this stunning model of Eddie Rickenbacker's number one aircraft. A true scale replica of the legendary biplane, this SPAD has the originals' silk stretched frame, fabric covered tail section and wings with visible ribs, metal faux engine, leather-trimmed cockpit, and spinning wooden propeller. Impressive 29¾" wingspan and 23½" length make the precision details and built-in quality easy to see. Model takes just a few minutes of assembly before it's ready to display.
