When we designed the new FLIP FPV 250, we wanted it to have all the features of the 260H, very strong yet light, reasonably priced, but clean with speed controllers and associated wiring protected from possible damage. We also wanted it to be easy and quick to assemble, and easy to repair. It needed to be as small as possible yet still accept most 12A speed controllers while keeping ESC's protected and wiring hidden from view. But, we also wanted a square layout for those who prefer the easier tuning of a conventional square motor layout.
The FLIP FPV 250 provides 3/8" (9.5mm) of clearance between bottom and middle plate, allowing ESC's and wiring to be tucked neatly inside the arms. With wiring neatly tucked away, there is plenty of room left for flight gear. A CCD mounting plate provides protected placement of CCD style flight cameras with three positions to adjust for length of camera. The frame is designed to use a CCD camera for flying, and a Mobius on top for recording. In most cases video will be jello free, but an inexpensive Mobius camera clean plate option is available separately (see related items below).
This frame is specifically designed to accept the OSO Grande FPV power distribution board. This OSO Grande board allows OSD and FPV TX, and Camera to be powered and video integrated directly from the power board using the Hobby King Simple OSD (optional). Cutouts make the buttons and PINS of the OSD and voltage regulator accessible.
Motor mouting slots allow for both 15mm-19mm (M3) mounting holes and 12mm - 19mm (M2) hole spacings.
All hardware used in this frame is aluminum, with screws being anodized aluminum.
