Overview
WE ARE IMSAR

IMSAR was founded in 2004 and has become the worldwide leader in miniature Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology for unmanned and manned aircraft. In 2008, IMSAR created the NanoSAR, the world's smallest SAR. Due to its miniature size, NanoSAR provides SAR capabilities to Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3 UAV's. IMSAR has dedicated itself to excellence in rapid technology innovation, manufacturing and program execution; and remains committed to decreasing size and increasing capabilities. IMSAR is currently working with many branches of the Department of Defense (DOD) to deploy new capabilities in the battlefield. This technology is serving as a force multiplier for the warfighter enabling them to do more with less, in terms of capability and cost.

Located in Utah Valley, IMSAR enjoys both beautiful scenery and access to a wide range of environmental testing opportunities due to Utah's various climate changes and ecological diversity. All 90+ of our employees work from our 60,000 ft2 facility, which is home to our corporate office, our research and development operations, and our own in-house manufacturing. Our facility places us in a unique demographic and environmental location. Because we are only one hour from Salt Lake City and only two hours from Dugway Proving Grounds, we have quick access to both an international airport and a military test range. Using a Cessna 172 surrogate test platform owned by our subsidiary, we also have access to a diverse landscape for flight testing, which includes lakes, deserts, mountains, urban areas, rural areas, and forests.

In addition to the resources that arise naturally from our ideal location, our facility has other capabilities and resources that allow IMSAR to sustain technology leadership in miniature radar technology. Our facility has extensive resources for manufacturing and testing including RF test chambers, resources for environmental testing, and a large-capacity vault. IMSAR's subsidiary has FCC and FAA licenses to operate radar systems from its Cessna 172, which is used to routinely test radar systems and to prepare them for integration onto other manned and unmanned vehicles.
