IAR - 501 is two seat aerobatic, training and sporting aircraft. It can be used for basic and advanced aerobatic training, IFR training.
Main characteristics:
Designed according to FAR - 23 standard, acrobatic and normal categories;
Low initial cost of aircraft;
Built for short / rough field operations, also at hot and / or high places;
Simplicity in design, operation and maintenance features which will bring low operating costs, economy and reliability;
Can be provided with systems and avionics for VFR or IFR operations.
