Airborne Systems Quick Release Mechanism (QRM) has been developed to support the safe deployment of troops by means of helicopter. The QRM enables rapid detachment of the deplaning or abseiling rope from the helicopter in the event of an emergency. It works in conjunction with Airborne Systems deplaning rope assembly but also with any other rope systems anchored to the helicopter.
