What makes us unique
LR is a company limited by shares, called Lloyd’s Register Group Limited; we are the operating company of the Lloyd’s Register organisation. The shares in Lloyd’s Register Group Limited are owned by Lloyd’s Register Foundation and the profits we generate help fund the public benefit activities of the Foundation. In addition, some of our activities directly help to fulfil the Foundation's mission and our public benefit ethos is a driving force of the organisation.
Our independence is supported by this organisational structure and strengthened through our approach to corporate governance and our heritage.
