A new aviation company is landing in the Waco area, bringing nearly 100 jobs with it.
Today, the CEO of MaxFlight announced that his company will be movingfrom Ohio and setting up operations at TSTC Airport and McGregor Executive Airport.
The company buys, sells, operates and maintains private jets in addition to offering several other private flight-related services.
MaxFlight's CEO says they will tap into the local employee pool for most of their hires.
Jamie Thomas says, "We really like the idea of working with TSTC. We like the idea of moving their graduates into our program. We need pilotswe need mechanics, we need dispatchers."
The company likes Waco's location in the Texas Triangle, encompassing Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas-Ft. Worth.
Thomas says Greater Waco Chamber leaders also played a big role in his decision to move the company to Central Texas.
