The Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) was established in 1991 with a $15 million endowment by the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan and the Mitsubishi Electric US group companies. The Foundation supports national grant programs and employee volunteer programs across the United States to make Changes for the Better for youth with disabilities.
Mission & Vision
Since 1991, MEAF has been dedicated to the mission of helping youth with disabilities maximize their potential and participation in society. By 2016, MEAF will empower youth with disabilities to lead productive lives through increased employment.

Financial Information
Since its inception, MEAF and Mitsubishi Electric Employee Volunteers have invested $14 million and more than 40,000 volunteer hours in U.S. based nonprofit organizations.
The Foundation has provided $7.6 million in National Grants that promote the full inclusion of youth with disabilities in society. MEAF has also given nearly $3 million in Matching Grants and Starfish Matches, doubling the $3 million in charitable contributions of cash, products and volunteer time donated by Mitsubishi Electric US companies and their employees.
