Norinnova Technology Transfer AS is an innovation company with the objective of commercialising business ideas based on research activities and new technologies.
Our goal is to assist with business development and to strengthen the existing industry in Northern Norway. Since 1993, we have been involved in the creation of more than 80 companies, which has resulted in 550 high technology jobs in the region. As an innovation company located in Siva Innovation Center, we are a hub for the establishment of new research-based and high technology companies. We also manage innovation projects.
Norinnova, which is short for Northern Innovations, changed its name from Tromsø Science Park Limited in 2003. In 2011 Norinnova AS merged with TTO Nord AS (Transfer Technology Office) and changed its name to Norinnova Technology Transfer AS. The company combines the role as a transfer technology unit from the R&D environments with the role as a business developer. Norinnova is a subsidiary of Norut AS, of which the University of Tromsø is the largest shareholder. Therefor the company is strongly rooted in the R&D environments in Tromsø, and also has a close collaboration with the knowledge-intensive industry in Northern Norway.
Our great team consists of 18 skilled employees. All with different educational background and with a lot of experience in working with innovation and commercialisation.
