Description
Spitfire Mk FR.XVIIIe SM845 was built at Chattis Hill, England in 1945 and it was delivered to 39 MU (Maintenance Unit) on May 30, 1945. The aircraft was used in India, first with the RAF, then the Indian Air Force.
The Spitfire has undergone extensive restoration to flying condition by Airframe Assemblies and Historic Flying Limited, SM845 made its first post restoration first flight in December 2013.
