In May of 2009, Flight 1 Aviation Maintenance was formed, and acquired the assets of Race City Aviation in Lincolnton, NC. Since then, Flight 1 has operated out of the Lincoln County Airport (KIPJ) as an aircraft maintenance facility. Realizing the need for a local avionics source, Flight 1 began the process of becoming an FAA repair station in 2013, and we received our certificate in 2014.
Not long after becoming an FAA repair station, Robby Long joined our company and became the head of our avionics and maintenance operations. We are now a dealer for some of the most popular avionics platforms.
Since there have been many advancements in avionics technology, and with the ADS-B mandate soon approaching in 2020, we are proud to offer multiple installation options to fit your avionics needs.
