Aerial photography has entered an exciting new era. From the safety of the ground, the use of model unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) permits radio controllers to operate their camera-equipped, portable aircraft in unique ways that are difficult or even impossible for full-scale aircraft to accomplish.
An impressive aerial perspective readily captures the attention and inspires the imagination of virtually any audience. A multi-rotor UAV provides an impressive platform for both aerial video and photography. When I film your project using my multi-rotor and stable gimbal-mounted HD camera, you are sure to be pleased with the high-quality imagery produced.
The word “drone” has carried the stigma of long-range and/or autonomous warfare for many years. Nonetheless, the media has latched onto the term as label for these benign and relatively small model aircraft. While I often refer to my UAV as a multi-rotor, my present model is also often commonly referred to as a quad-copter (it has four overhead rotors/propellers versus a helicopter, which typically has one).
