RPFS was incorporated in 2005 for the sole purpose of developing small unmanned aircraft for the emerging drone industry. RPFS has led the way in the commercial development of the flying wing in the Spectra line of aircraft. RPFS has pioneered the use of small UAS in the role of civilian first responder situations by producing procedures and protocols for safe use. In 2008, RPFS authored the first FAA Certificate of Authorization for UAS use by a civilian government entity.
The principals of John Smith and Gene Robinson have a combined experience of over 50 years of designing and flying small remotely piloted vehicles. They have flown in over 30 states and 5 countries, in a wide variety of environments. This practical field experience is what dictates the rugged design of all our products.
