Pending its forthcoming certification, the new Gulfstream G500 has taken off on a world tour visiting current and potential customers.
The ultra- long range, high- speed Luxury jet is due to visit major cities such as Beijing, Chicago, Moscow and Milan and is one of five test airplanes.
The new G500 cabin can be configured to seat up to 19 passengers, with a top speed of Mach 0.925. In- flight, pilots and passengers can avoid fatigue associated with high altitude flights due to advanced technologies which mean the cabin always remains below 4,850 feet but uses 100 percent fresh air which is refreshed every two minutes. The cabin is also quiet enough to allow for normal conversation.
Gulfstream President Mark Burns stated:
“It’s an ideal time for customers to explore an aircraft that is already noted for its large, wide cabin, outstanding performance and industry-leading technology. It also gives us an opportunity to thoroughly test and examine the fully outfitted interior as we prepare for the G500’s service entry.”
The five G500s are undergoing flight testing and certification is expected in the first quarter.
