AVIATION MEDICINE BASIC TRAINING
AVIATION MEDICINE is a branch of Medicine which focuses on the effects that the aeronautical environment may have on the human being.
Both the environmental conditions and the activity developed in the aeronautical environment may alter the health of pilots and other aircrews exposed. In the same manner, the individual’s health may determine their own capabilities to develop their activity in that environment effectively and safely.
SENASA in collaboration with CIMA (Spanish Aerospatiale Medicine Training Institute), pioneer in the field of aviation medicine in Spain and Reference Aeromedicine Center since 1942, organize an BASIC AVIATION MEDICINE COURSE according to the program and requirements established by EASA (European Air Safety Agency) on Regulation (EU) 1178/2011, amended by Regulations (EU) 290/2012, 70/2014 and 254/2014
Objectives:
Qualify participants in the course to develop his activity as Aeromedical Examiners (AMEs) enabling them, after meeting the regulatory requirements, to conduct initial and periodic medical examinations for issuing Class 2 aeromedical certificates (private, sailplane, balloon pilots and LAPL), assessment of medical fitness of Cabin Crew.

Medicine Graduates who wish to train as Aero Medical Examiners (AME) under the EASA rules.

Graduates or Doctors in Medicine
At least 2 years of experience in Medicine
