Every flight in an original J-3 is a step back in history, but L-4 N87955 is something different. As is common with a plane of this vintage, it has been rebuilt many times with parts from other aircrafts. N87955 officially is a 1946 J3 cub. In 1991 it was converted to an L-4 (the military version of a J3) with an L-4 fuselage. That plane was purchased by the Army in 1945, and was sent to the 5th Air Force in the South Pacific. Back now, totally refurbished and equipped with the more powerful C-85 engine, N87955 is a true Warbird ready to take you back in time.
