To be eligible for your certificate you must:
Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate
Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
Hold an FAA issued medical certificate
Pass a knowledge test (CATS)
Pass a practical test (a one-on-one oral quiz and flight test with an FAA designated examiner)
Have accrued 50 hours of Cross Country flights as Pilot in Command
Minimum flight training requirements:
40 total hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
