Stainless braid conductive Teflon™ hoses are among the highest quality aircraft hoses that exist. These hoses are not "Certified" but are similar in construction to high end certified aircraft hoses. They are used extensively on Experimental Aircraft. If you want approval to use these on a certified aircraft, please discuss with your mechanic and see AC 23-27.
These hoses have no predefined service / shelf life
Rated continuous working pressure on these hoses is between 2,000 and 3,000 PSI depending on diameter. Rated Bursting pressure is between 8,000 and 12,000 PSI. ALL hoses are pressure tested prior to shipment.
Minimum Recommended bend Radius on these hoses when ordered in plain braid is as follows:
3 Hose (2 inches)
4 Hose (2 inches)
6 Hose (4 inches)
8 Hose (5.25 inches)
Stainless Steel Fittings are used on all hoses for extreme strength, and also for superior fire protection when compared to aluminum fittings.
Optional Fire Sleeve is very tightly conforming and is secured with stainless steel bands for superior fire protection. The fire sleeve is a very tight fit and is not "bulky", which allows for a compact, flexible installation.
Optional Anti Abrasion Coating is available on -3 and -4 size hoses. These hoses are great as brake or hydraulic lines firewall aft. The clear coating provides protection against the hose rubbing on the aircraft structure. Hoses coated with anti abrasion coating are non conductive Teflon™, and are not recommended for use as oil or fuel lines.
Typical uses for Aircraft with 300hp and less. (Please make sure that hose diameter is suitable for your application)
3 (Primer and Brake lines)
4 (Brake Lines, Oil and Fuel Pressure lines, and certain fuel lines)
6 (Fuel Lines)
8 (Oil Lines)
Please measure from "Flare to Flare." Diagrams on the order form show proper hose measurement.
Make sure to account for any extra slack you may need for routing and vibration. Hoses must be adequately secured and supported.
