TEXL was established in July 2008 as a joint venture between Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd.(HAECO), Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd.(TAECO) and Xiamen Aviation Industry Co. Ltd. As Swire Pacific Ltd. is a major shareholder of both HAECO and Cathay Pacific, TEXL is also a member of the aviation division of the Swire Group.
We specialize in the repair, overhaul and engine test of GE90 series engines and as part of a 22 year long term partnership with GE we are licensed as an authorized GE90™ Service Provider, GE90 Center of Excellence and the sole holder of a GE90 GE branded service agreement ("GBSA") in Asia. GE joined TEXL as a 9.9% shareholder in Nov 2014
TEXL commenced overhaul operations in early 2010.
