Timken’s expansion units – with a pillow-block design – can be used wher thermal expansion of the shaft is present. These units are available with full-width, eccentric-locking bearing inserts. Our heavy-duty series bearings have loose internal clearance.
Design Attributes
Self-aligning ring allows initial alignment with shaft and axial float during operation.
Popular sizes come complete with a spacer ring to make unit “fixed” or “float” side.
Enclosed units include oil-tight seals to allow oil or grease lubrication.
